WHAT IT MEANS

Slaps means “is excellent,” and it belongs first to music: a song slaps when it physically moves you — the beat lands, the bass arrives, your face involuntarily does the thing. From music it extended to food (“this sandwich slaps”) and, eventually, to anything that delivers an immediate, body-level yes.
